I was revealed this on January 28th. This morning as I sit with my bowl of oatmeal and almond butter, missing the blueberries because the store hasn’t been my utmost priority… I am tugged on by the Spirit and shown this about the battle-weary.
God is showing me that we are losing some. In the prophetic realm I can see that many at the front lines have shields linked together and they are pushing hard against the enemy, gaining ground on the soil into victory. As these front line soldiers dig their hooks in deep and push hard in this battle, the ground is getting softer to each row behind.
Reinforcements are called and some are pulling and making way with strength to the front ranks, meanwhile there is a Lord’s rain/reign, where His authority is pouring out from Heaven upon the earth for those that will use it. This rain/reign that makes the ground wet — some will see it as an advantage (it is to be a Holy-advantage) because you can push the enemy back farther and with ease in motion as One. But those among them and to the farthest back are falling in the mud and are not trying to rejoin the ranks as they are weary of fighting and pushing on from a multitude of reasons.
In 2 Samuel 21 we read that David too became exhausted, but Abishai came alongside David to kill the Philistine. 15 Once again there was a battle between the Philistines and Israel. David went down with his men to fight against the Philistines, and he became exhausted. 16 And Ishbi-Benob, descendant of Rapha, whose bronze spearhead weighed three hundred shekels[a] and who was armed with a new sword, said he would kill David. 17 But Abishai …came to David’s rescue; he struck the Philistine down and killed him. Then David’s men swore to him, saying, “Never again will you go out with us to battle, so that the lamp of Israel will not be extinguished.”
Some are giving way to exhaustion from battling a spiritual battle against the demonic forces (not simply sin, even more simply – exhaustion), and they are finding it hard to stay in the good fight. These ones are feeling it easier to sit out of the battle. It is easier to retreat for a what they thought was a hot steak, but that steak has sat for far too long and without fire, and without consumption, it has maggots, will they go back for this “food?”
Blech! It turns my stomach to see what the Lord is showing me. Don’t eat that!!
We are about to take victory in this territory already. I guarantee a greater feast is right ahead of this coming victory. My stomach grows in hunger for what’s ahead and the thought of it strengthens me. We push and push and it is NOT earthly. Christ in me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ among me. We are winning. Rise up and fight, pull yourself out of the muck and rise again to join the ranks and do not retreat!
I say again do not retreat!
Some have even gotten weary going to the deeper things of the Lord, as an enemy wears them out. You must heed the call to regain strength in the Lord and WITH the Lord. Find yourself in His presence and renew, regain, refresh and resolve to put the rest behind you!
If you do not do this, you will have a battle to fight on your own and could be consumed. The enemy is prowling to devour you. LISTEN to the Lord in this warning. These are not my words.
What is He preparing us for? Muscle is gained when we use them to push, and at “rest” we are restored for bigger battles because we fought and gained muscle in the first place. Are you using the muscle he gave you?? Would you have fallen in the first place if you had kept.on.pressing.forward and strengthening with Holy Spirit.
This fight is NEVER apart from Him. Holy Spirit is the restitution.
My encouragement in this writing isn’t my own. It belongs to HIM! He is at the pen, He is the word, He is the battle cry, He is the trumpet blast, He is the fiber of strength itself.
Where are you? Get up and fight!! He is calling for you… RUN, run to the front, push, fight, win.
Let us link ourselves with those that are strong and will not back down. Strengthen us together Lord.
Where are the warriors? Where are you in this fight? He is asking and calling for you!
